A quiet impression of dappled sunlight, Under the Apple Tree, was painted en plein air while admiring our backyard apple tree in spring.

This painting was created on a hand-stretched canvas that I prepared from cotton/linen blend canvas, prepped with clear medium and gesso, painted, and finished with gloss varnish. Wire hanging hardware is attached at the back.

My work aims to feel grounded and lasting. The time and care behind my process is reflected in the textures, surface shifts, and small variations that come from working by hand. Ideal for collectors who connect with thoughtful, timeless artwork.
