"Roses in the Park" was painted en plein air on a warm and windy summer evening. The light was fading, and I moved quickly to catch the hints of light glimmering in the shadows of the rosebush.
My work is an impression shaped as much by feeling and memory as by the subject in front of me. The time and care behind my process is reflected in the small variations that come from working by hand - resulting in artwork that is inviting and familiar, as if it's always been in your home.
