There’s a quality of light that is particular to the last weeks of summer on the prairie. “November Afternoon” was painted in the studio with this in mind. The memory of a garden full of sunlit flowers, lush greens and blues, and just a hint of autumn colour beginning to show.
Named for the month it was painted, this piece lingers on the memory of a previous season.
