"Spring Garden, 1" is a loose arrangement of flowers set against a muted blue-green background. This painting was completed en plein air on an early spring morning in our garden. The cool blue provides a lovely contrast for the impression of new flowers. This piece is abstract and painterly. The loose shapes, layered brushwork and gentle contrast reflect my way of seeing and interpreting florals.
This painting was created on a hand-stretched canvas that I prepared from a gorgeous cotton/linen blend canvas, prepped with clear gesso, painted, and finished with gloss varnish. A gold-tone sawtooth hanger is attached at the back, and the piece sits flush with the wall. The front edges of this piece are rounded.
My work is ideal for collectors who connect with thoughtful, lasting pieces. Each artwork is one of a kind, personal and made to last. The marks, surface shifts, and subtle imperfections reflect the care and effort behind my creative process.
PLEASE NOTE: This piece was painted alongside another in the same palette and could be considered part of a set. However, the two are slightly different sizes due to the nature of repurposed stretcher bars. Also, the folds on the sides are opposite, and so, in person, they don't read as a matched pair.

- Oil paintings have depth and texture that’s difficult to fully capture on screen. Colours are shown as accurately as possible, but may vary by device. If you have a specific colour question please don't hesitate to message me.
- There are several ways to display oil paintings depending on the look you prefer. I’m always happy to offer guidance, or you can consult your local framer for options that suit your space.
- All materials used in this painting are archival and proper care is important to keep it looking its best. By purchasing this piece, you acknowledge responsibility for keeping it in a stable environment, away from direct sunlight, moisture, high humidity, and extreme temperature changes.

- All original artwork ships fully insured.
- All purchases over $100CAD require a signature on delivery to ensure your artwork arrives safely. If you would like to have a signed delivery for purchases under this amount, please contact me immediately after completing your transaction.
- Packaging matches the size of the piece: works on paper under 9x12 inches ship in a rigid mailer and are wrapped in glassine and protective padding; larger pieces on paper, as well as all works on canvas, are carefully packed in sturdy boxes to ensure safe delivery.
- Buyers are responsible for any import duties or taxes. Delivery times vary by location.
- For US collectors: On Friday, August 29, the US ended the "de minimus" tariff exemption. As of right now, original artwork is still exempt and you won't be charged additional fees when your artwork arrives. I'm staying up to date of changes and the studio is running as usual.
RETURNS
- Returns are accepted for any reason. Returns must be initiated within 10 days of the painting’s arrival. If you’d like to start a return, please contact me as soon as possible. If the packaging was damaged in shipping please photograph before and after opening. Returns must be packaged appropriately for safe travel, and shipping must be insured - these will be at the buyers expense.
